Safety
One of the most notable features of the Ford F-150 is its Pre-Collision Assist feature. Pre-Collision Assist uses camera technology to determine if a potential collision with either a pedestrian or another vehicle is imminent.
Pre-Collision Assist works whether you are driving during the day or at night. It can reduce the severity of a collision significantly, or prevent a frontal collision entirely. When Pre-Collision Assist detects a potential collision, it alerts the driver with a sound and a warning message that appears in the message center. If the driver does not respond in time, Automatic Emergency Braking will increase brake-assist sensitivity to make braking easier and give them more time to brake. If the driver still does not brake, Automatic Emergency Braking will apply brakes automatically.
This robust safety feature has the potential to make potentially dangerous situations much safer, and give you peace of mind whenever you drive around Marana. Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking is standard on the F-150. While it is available with the Silverado 1500, you have to pay more to add it as a feature.
