Ford Edge Performance
Ford's new model lineup is known for its varied engine options, and the Edge is no exception. Ford's midsize crossover has three available engine choices.
- Twin-Scroll 2.0-Liter EcoBoost: Though it's small in displacement, the 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine is mighty. It's twin-scroll turbocharging system coaxes 245 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. Plus, it's ready to tow up to 3,500 pounds with the Class II Trailer Tow Package.
- 2.7-Liter EcoBoost: Ford had great success with this engine in the F-150, so it decided to share it with other models. In the Edge Sport, the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 makes 315 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. The engine's light weight and twin-turbo system result in respectable efficiency compared to many other V6 options in the segment.
- 3.5-Liter Ti-VCT V6: This naturally-aspirated V6 offers 280 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque. It leverages variable valve timing to deliver consistent performance across the power band, whether you're looking for low-end torque or high-end horsepower. This engine also offers a 3,500-pound towing capacity with the Class II Trailer Tow Package.
